Are you patriotic? What does being patriotic mean to you?

This is one of those prompts that I can see either being totally ignored or going horribly awry.

I’m not going to get into politics or any of that nonsense. Every nation has it’s issues, and no land is perfect.

I’ll just say that I served my country to the best of my ability and I consider myself very fortunate for the life it’s given me and my family. I could be far, far worse off than I am.

Semper Fi, and thank you to all my comrades who have fallen in battle. May you rest in peace. Gone, but never forgotten.

    Nice post. Thank you for your service. My father and grandfather served. 🙂
    This was one of those prompts that I refuse to answer in the way that they intended. I think they’re mining for information, and they’re trying to be divisive with this question. Plus, they’re just being nosy at this point. 😊

    I had to ignite today’s prompt for obvious reasons. What’s with the recent prompts? Yesterday they’re asking us if we committed a crime, today they’re asking us if we’re patriotic? lol, so random!

    So lovely and ty…all I need to know to be patriotic is that in 1942, when my mom was almost one year old and my Grandma was pregnant with her future sister, her husband died in an accident. At the time, TWO brothers of his were MIA in WWII. They came home, Thank the Lord, but he was gone.

      Respect to them for their service and thank God they came home. Always remember those who didn’t.
      My grandfather was in WWII as well, but rarely spoke of it.

    Yeah, definitely skipping this one. Thank you for your service, my grandfather was a marine. I spent five years working with veterans at the VA, so I know how tough it can be. Take care 😊
