I went out strolling late last night
Beneath a moon that shimmered bright
The streets were silent, not a sound
Was not another soul around
The houses dark, all fast asleep
With Morpheus they slumber deep
The evening cool, a gentle breeze
I walk unfettered where I please
A peaceful shroud encircles me
Here in the darkness I feel free
Free of worry, free of strife
I stroll along, embracing life
As I bid the evening fond farewell
Our secrets we will never tell
This bond we share is all our own
For in the night, true freedom known
