As the sun sets on another day
I reflect on all that’s come my way
The good, the bad, the in-between
I ponder what it all could mean
Reflect on choices, good and bad
Look back on moments, bright and sad
The weathered storms, the broken dreams
The quiet and the fractured screams
The victories both large and small
Every rise and every fall
The moments where I felt at peace
The moments where I craved release
Some I’d change and others not
Thankful for the lessons taught
As the sun drifts slowly off to sleep
I feel a calm within so deep
Until tomorrow, my old friend
Another day, not reached the end
I will greet you with a smiling face
As once again I find my place
