A lot of words get used too much, but for the purposes of brevity, I’ll go with “gaslighting”.
Not saying people aren’t capable of it, and that it doesn’t happen, just that some people have a really bad habit of throwing it out willy-nilly when they’re told something they just plain don’t want to hear.
People who do that only cheapen the term, and diminish the struggles of those who truly are victims of this behavior.
