I wish I could remember whose welcome address to an entering class of university students included the following wonderful insight:
“You have not been as free before. You will not be as free again. Enjoy the privilege of doubt.”
Not great, to be honest. I’m not sure why but the migraines are coming back as bad as ever… but I do my best each day, and get a lot of support from everyone online… I could never have believed that digital friends (including you) could be just as sincere and important as those you meet face to face… it’s been a very humbling and hope-filled experience! ❤️
You write so well, Kevin. Often, rhyming poems sound forced. Yours never do, and they carry a good solid message.
