Pompeii

A city once so strong and proud

Lies buried ‘neath an ashen shroud

Pumice rain from mouth of Hell

The mountain starts to shake and swell

As panicked hordes attempt to flee

A devil’s cauldron flows so free

A testament to Nature’s ways

We are witness to the final days

    1. Indeed she does. And when the wrong one shows itself, it rarely ends well.
