Vacant Eyes

β€”

by

in

Desolate and barren

When you search

There’s nothing there

There comes a point

You realize

You no longer really care

If there was a magic

It is buried, it is gone

You would think it

Rather tragic

But you realize

You are wrong

They tell you

See the bright side

But when you look

There’s only black

There’s no way

Of moving forward

And there is

No going back

There is

No soaring upward

There are

No dreams up in the skies

There’s just

An empty shell

That’s staring

Staring back

With vacant eyes

  5. Stop looking in my head, Mister. There is just a breeze blowing through.

I enjoyed the sparseness of this. Dark, once again.
