For this edition of Triple S, I am posting up some songs that I listened to during my recent sabbatical. I spent a fair amount of time working out and just focusing on nothing much in general, and trying to rest in between.
I, like many others, find music is a good thing to get lost within when you are overwhelmed, tired of life, etc. It can calm you, soothe you, motivate you, and so much more.
The majority of what I listened to this week was more for upbeat, motivational purposes. When I was relaxing I actually preferred the silence, but that is not always the case. It’s all about the mood in any given moment.
Here are my six picks for this week. Enjoy, and rock on.
Alter Bridge – “Metalingus”
I went with the edit used for WWE/AEW star Edge/Adam Copeland for this one. The original is cool, but I always leans towards this version.
Ozzy Osbourne – “A.V.H.”
One of my favorite songs off No More Tears. Also one of my favorite Zakk Wylde solos.
The Commodores – “Machine Gun”
Because it’s badass and I like it. Simple as that.
Poison – “Stand”
Not as well known as their massive hits, but a great song and I like the message.
Van Halen – “Mine All Mine”
One of my favorite VH songs from the Hagar era, and really, favorites overall. Again, I like the lyrics and the message. Killer solo from The King, of course.
James Brown – “Living In America”
Come on…It’s James Brown and it’s Rocky.
