Moonweasel’s 6-Song Sunday: 09.29.24

I wasn’t going to put up a Triple S this week, but Mr. Moonweasel insisted, so, well…here we are.

Personally, I think he just wanted to show off his new fedora, but…

A few different selections this week. While I tend to lean towards the rock and metal genres, I do listen to other stuff as well when the mood strikes.

And at the end of the day, it really is about the mood. Am I melancholy? Looking for a little kick? Need to hear something upbeat?

Sometimes it’s “yes” all in the same day. That’s the beauty of music. There’s something for every person and every mood.

Enjoy and stay cool. ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ˜Š

Chicago – “Feelin’ Stronger Every Day”

They get a lot of flack for their ballad heavy 80s output, but Chicago put out some great tunes. This is one of them for me. Starts off kinda smooth and kicks in at the end for a hell of a finish.

Tesla – “Call It What You Want”

Quite possibly my favorite Tesla song. I just love the urgency and energy of it, and the guitar solos are plain slammin’. One of those songs that just plain gets me through a tough day.

Luther Allison – “Low Down and Dirty”

I’m sorry, but you can’t go wrong with a little bit of Sunday blues music. Your mileage may vary.

Ratt – “Way Cool Jr.”

There’s so many kickass Ratt tunes that it’s not even funny. I absolutely love the swing of this one.

Judas Priest – “You’ve Got Another Thing Comin’”

If you think I’ll sit around as the world goes by…

Sammy Hagar – “Sam I Am”

Just because I enjoy it and the way he name checks a bunch of different bands and songs. It’s just plain fun.

Well, that’s it for this week. Hope you find a few you enjoy.

Have a great Sunday and rock on. ๐Ÿค˜๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿค˜

  1. Good choices, Kevin. I’m so old, I saw Chicago when they were the CTA, although I was in elementary school at the time.

    1. Yes, and then the real CTA threatened to sue them so they went with plain old Chicago lol
I actually wanted to go see them this summer, but there was a family thing I had to attend that day ๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿ˜„
They were playing with, I believe, Earth Wind & Fire.

  6. I have only heard of Chicago. But not that song as I am not familar with all their music. The others are new to me, which I like.

Got to see Chicago as part of a group concert with Rod Stewart and Hall & Oats, many years ago. It was a great show and gave me a better appreciation for them.
