The mental scars

Is it worth it?

Why?

The criticism

The ridicule

The expectations

The expectations.

I was not put here

To live up to expectations

I was put here…

To defy them.

      To a degree, possibly not. Regardless, living up to others expectations is often a losing game, in my opinion. Better to defy a d discard them for what matters most to you yourself. Just my .02

        True, when we are older, our expectations are what matter of ourselves. When we are kids, well, we have no control of them. Life is challenging, no question about it.

        Indeed we don’t. But it’s also that conditioning when we are young that can sometimes be a disservice to us when we get older. This is how some end up as people pleasers, which I believe is completely unhealthy the older I get.
