Yes, gorillas can read.
I will preface this by stating that I have never written a review for anything before, so this is completely new territory for me. The following are just a few thoughts I wished to share.
Ink Stained Love is the first published book by our very own Ernest Federspiel, AKA: E-Dawg, Dawg, and Dawgy Daddy. Oh, and sometimes we even call him Ernie. ๐
With this book, Ernie has given us a peek into the life, loves and mindsets that guide and drive him. He takes us on a journey through the most tender and beautiful of moments to the most heart-wrenching. More than once while reading, I got a chill at the show of pure emotion on the page in front of me.

The Author hard at work.
I actually told Ernie today that the thing I love most about his writing is how there’s no questioning where he stands or how he feels. He leaves it all on the page in straight up fashion – the joy, the pain, and all the emotions in between.
When Ernie asks “Who am I… supposed to be?” in I’ve Seen Stars, you can feel the urgency of a man desperately trying to find himself and his purpose. His writing is so raw and powerful, that you feel like you are right there with him, and all you want to do is hold out your hand and help him up.
With Ink Stained Love, Ernie shares a series of poems that celebrate life’s (and love’s) wins, laments the losses, learns from both, and forges bravely ahead, awaiting the next challenge.
I am grateful to Ernie for sharing this unique journey with us and I recommend you pick up a copy and share in the Peaceful Insanity.
