A cocktail so effervescent
But so vile
You are the beginning

The silken promise you provide
Is but a ruse
To hide the sharpest thorns
Which pierce the skin
And drag me down
To the ground
Paralyzed
Entranced
A bead of sweat
Slowly crawling
Down my brow
Eyes heavy
