Brimstone Fire

Am I slayer of your demons?

Or the slayer of your dreams?

In the realms of brimstone fire

Nothing ever as it seems

Am I servant to a devil?

Am I something more divine?

Am I something in the middle?

Do I tread a fragile line?

As I move amongst the fire

As I tread across the flame

Could it be I’m just a player

In a larger cosmic game?

The answers never present

But within, somehow, I feel

The only thing to count on

Cold and unrelenting steel

  3. You brought the brimstone with you on this brother! Walking the line between good and evil in tantalizing verse. The steel sounds like it is in your veins as well as the sword. Well done bro, very well done.

    1. Thank you, Big Dawg! I think sometimes the only thing we can truly have faith in is our own sword arm and steel. When the world is letting you down, you can only count on yourself!

      2. Thanks, Stephanie. I don;t consider myself a strong writer, or a writer at all really, but if I have any strength at all in it, I think it’s the darker stuff.
