Lunar Musings

in , ,

I stare into a blackened sky

I see the moon is rising high

My mind alive with many thoughts

Some of them I paused and caught

Somewhere a love comes to an end

Somewhere a heart begins to mend

Somewhere a child has gone to sleep

Somewhere a girl begins to weep

Somewhere a limit has been passed

Somewhere a man has breathed his last

Somewhere a family has been torn

Somewhere a baby has been born

Somewhere a wolf cries in the night

Somewhere a transatlantic flight

Somewhere a date with destiny

Somewhere a man longs to be free

Somewhere I left my heart behind

Somewhere I found you on my mind

Somewhere I found it mattered not

Somewhere it mattered quite a lot

Somewhere we rise up from a fall

Somewhere we’re human after all

    2. Dear Kevin,

I concur with Laura, and am deeply touch by your thoughtful Lunar Musings. Well done!

Greetings from one moon lover to another . . . . Thank you for sharing your creative Lunar Musings, photos and rhyming poem. Your enthusiasm in capturing sceneries through your poetry is highly palpable and appreciated.

I love the title of your post “Lunar Musings“. Being a poet, artist, musician, researcher, writer and a lover of moon myself, I wonder what you will make of my poems and my artistic take on the moon. Therefore, I would like to entertain, inspire and resonate with you through my most animation-intensive post presented to you as a courtesy of my dramatic attempt to bring the Full Moon alive, so to speak, in the form of Music Animation with Dynamic Visualization presented in high definition and imbued with a scintillating full moon surrounded by eye-catching astronomical phenomena and stellar activities!

The post contains twelve poetic stanzas constituting my rhyming poem entitled “If My Name Were Moon Tonightโ€ฆ“.

In order to see all of the animations, please make sure that you view the post on my blog and not via the WordPress Reader. Please enjoy to your heartโ€™s content the mixed-media offering of “If My Name Were Moon Tonightโ€ฆ” and its beautifully rendered Music Animation with Dynamic Visualization on the big high-resolution screen of your desktop or laptop computer. Switch the video playback to full-screen mode. The animation starts calmly and will gradually climax.

There is also the opportunity to savour my own rendition of โ€œClair de Luneโ€ recorded on the organ.

I am very curious about what you think and look forward to receiving your feedback there.

Once again, thank you for your great effort in composing your moon-themed poem.

Wishing you and Laura a very Happy May soon!

May you and Laura have a lovely weekend!

      Yours sincerely,
