30-Day Pushup Challenge (Days 26-30)

And here we are down to the final five days of this pushup challenge!

Will I make it down the home stretch, or will I falter and trip right before the finish line?

The answer, dear reader, lies below!

Let us see, shall we?

01/26/24:

Almost started with a half miss. πŸ˜„

I had done two sets of 50 reps in the morning and all was moving along fine. Then I got totally sidetracked for the majority of the afternoon and early evening. Round about 9PM at night I realized I had 100 more pushups to go! Needless to say, I got off my ass and did two more sets of 50, so the streak remains intact! πŸ‘

01/27/24:

200 pushups completed. Four sets of 50 done during the morning coffee/commenting/blogging run. Left elbow was popping quite a bit, but no pain, so that’s good. Will monitor and adjust accordingly.

01/28/24:

200 pushups completed. Two sets of 50 in the morning and two at night, as I had some things to get done on the earlier side. Two more days to go and I am honestly about ready to button this thing up and do something different. πŸ˜„

01/29/24:

200 “pushups” completed. Honestly, not even sure these should count, but I am going to anyhow. I feel like I’ve been hit by a bus today. Left side of my head is totally congested, my shoulder and back are killing me, and I ache all over. Did 200 partial rep countertop pushups in sets of 25, merely because I hate to totally tank this thing with two damn days left.

01/30/24:

Sweet merciful God it’s over. πŸ˜„

Today was a total struggle. Still having the neck and back issue, but I wanted to make the best attempt possible to finish. I had to severely modify to get it done, so I ended up doing 10 sets of 20 partial rep countertop pushups. It was not the epic ending I had hoped for, but I did get it done.

Thanks to everyone who read along, encouraged me and commented. It is greatly appreciated! πŸ™

I would love to embark on another 30-Day Challenge, but first, I need to see what the doc says and take it from there.

    1. Hey Justin, I am thinking about another 30-Day challenge, but first, I am taking tomorrow off because I earned it. πŸ˜„
I was considering either a burpee or pullup challenge, but I need to gauge the neck/back situation first. If it’s not feasible, I might just do something totally not fitness related Well, no, it will be something workout related because I’m stupid like that.
Lesson learned: next time it won’t be 200 of any one thing. It will be 200 combined of at least two exercises if I go that high again.
Also, lesson learned, be willing to adapt.
      Thanks!
