No Theme Thursday Submissions (02/01 Edition)

Hello all!

I would like to share the submissions for this past week’s No Theme Thursday Challenge!

The following bloggers took up the gauntlet and gave us four very unique takes on the images they chose:

Amy from “It’s Amy,” I said.

Pooja G from Lifesfinewhine.

Tyronica Smith from Bloggish.

Destiny from Destiny’s Designz.

Below are the images they chose and a link to the accompanying post.

A huge, huge thank you to all four of you for participating and giving us such awesome displays of your talents!

Amy and Pooja both chose the below image and provided two very different and very, very cool slants on the same picture:

Eres Una Buena Chica by Amy

For Forever And Always by Pooja G

Tyronica chose this image and provided a very riveting tale which I won’t spoil. I am also providing a link to the previously written Pt. 1, for those who wish to read the tale in order:

Creative Writing: Lila’s Wake pt. 2 by Tyronica Smith.

Creative Writing: Lila’s Wake pt. 1

And our final entry this week is a dazzler from Destiny, who chose to traverse the darker side with the below image:

In closing, another huge round of applause to Amy, Pooja, Tyronica, and Destiny! What you did with a simple picture is nothing short of amazing. Bravo!!!

Please check out their respective blogs for even more incredible posts!!!

      1. Glad you did! My writing group used to do stuff like that when our group was on Facebook. It was a lot of fun seeing how everyone would interpret the same prompt. Is this something you’ll be doing again?

      2. Actually working on it now. Thinking I’ll go really eclectic to get a good variety up there.

      3. Cool! I think a friend of mine who isn’t on WordPress would enjoy no theme Thursday. So I sent her a message about it. I’ll send her the link to the responses from today. Maybe she would like to participate this week. We’ll see!😊

      4. That would be very cool. The more the merrier! 😎
I may even try to write something one of these weeks to go with an image, just for laughs lol

      5. You should! Flex your writing muscles!
I sent her the link, so we’ll see. I’m hoping.🤞

      6. Possibly. If I can find the mojo. lol
        Fingers crossed! 🤞

      7. Sometimes you gotta go out and find the mojo. Mojo doesn’t come easily sometimes, but the more you do it easier it becomes.😊 if you don’t find the mojo tomorrow, maybe the day after. It strikes whenever.😊

      8. That’s the thing about that tricky bastard. Sometimes even when I grind, it just ain’t there. lol

      9. Yeah. But truly the more you practice, the easier that gets. Freeform writing every day can break writers’ block. what you write can be crap, just as long as you’re writing. It trains the brain.🙂

      10. I have plenty of experience writing crap, trust me there 🤣🤣
I know it’s like anything else, but sometimes it just doesn’t feel right to me, so I don’t bother. It always feels too forced to me if the mojo isn’t there.

      11. I did not say you’re writing crap – you said that. Lol!
Well, my former writing mentor told me even when you don’t feel like doing it you should do it. The feeling forced part is the writers block. But if you really don’t want to write, then create something else like a picture. Then, maybe later on, being creative will have brought back your mojo for writing something.

      12. That’s kind of what I do now. I don’t feel overly aligned with writing at the moment, so I do the image thing to indulge my creative impulses.
Like anything else, when the time is right, I’ll know it. 👍

  4. Thanks so much for sharing my post and I’ve read a number of the ones you shared and will read the rest. I got curious about Amy’s and so different from my take on the image but so great.

    1. Yes, both of your takes were drastically different in the best possible ways. Everyone really knocked it out of the park with their chosen image!
