To The Wolves

Beaten, scarred down to the bone

To the wolves I have been thrown

Laid out, broken on the ice

Jaws around me like a vice

Teeth are tearing through the skin

A searing pain from deep within

Flowing blood, it freezes fast

To the wolves I have been cast

I thrash about just to survive

My heart is pumping, still alive

Through my veins, a crimson rush

A feral scream, and then a hush

Upon the ice, I’m now alone

I pull my broken body home

I should have died on frozen plain

But to survive, embraced the pain

I became what I abhor

A wolf I am, a sheep no more

      2. It’s kind of like working out. It hurts like hell some days, but if you keep doing it, the muscle grows and the strength increases. lol
