Away We (Don’t?) Go

Daily writing prompt
What place in the world do you never want to visit? Why?

Leave it to WP to ask where we wouldn’t want to go.

Well, points for originality, I guess. 🙄

Not something I think about too often, to be honest. I’d rather think of places I want to go.

Where don’t I want to go? Hmmm…

Well, the hospital is a good one. Freaking hate hospitals.

In front of a firing squad. Doesn’t sound like much fun, really.

The DMV. I think I’d choose the firing squad over that.

Wal-Mart. Avoid it when I can. Haven’t been in at least two years. Everyone knows I prefer Gorilla Mart.

I’m sure there are several other places, but I think this will suffice.

Now, if you’ll pardon me, I need to go think of all the restaurants I don’t want to eat at for dinner.

  3. Can’t argue with any of those, LOL. There’s a reason those People of Walmart videos and memes are so popular. 🤣

    1. And that isn’t even counting the sheer volume of people. Normal or otherwise. Always a sardine can.

Oh goodness, me too about Walmart. The lengths I will do to not to shop there!

I like the idea of going to the doctor because it makes me feel like I have my life under control, but when it comes to actually going… 😅

DMV too! We don’t have a separate DMV here and must go to the Secretary of State which handles so many different things you’re guaranteed to wait forever. Thankfully, you can do most of that stuff online now.

The last time I went to Wal-Mart was several years ago and I ended up leaving my cart and storming out because I just couldn’t believe the human detritus I was standing in line behind. I’ll never go back.

Ha, your take on the prompt gave me a good chuckle! It’s refreshing to see someone flip the script and inject some humor into the mix. Hospitals definitely aren’t anyone’s idea of a good time, and the DMV… well, let’s just say it’s a universally dreaded experience. Your list hits the nail on the head, and I couldn’t agree more about steering clear of Wal-Mart. Gorilla Mart sounds like a much better option! Thanks for sharing your lighthearted perspective on places to avoid. Now, onto more enjoyable thought, like what’s for dinner!

It’s been 50 years since I last cut class. But I’d do it now, iffn I had to take remedial algebra or chemistry. 🚌 “Schools out Forever” as Alice Cooper would say…
