Once I rode a horse so white
Fought for all that’s good and right
I had a code, I had a creed
Helping others when in need
My heart was pure like driven snow
From mountain high to valley low
My deeds were praised in joyous song
And then one day it all went wrong
They turned on me and cast me out
The epithets I heard them shout
A broken soul, I wandered ’round
Black heart beating, only sound
I threw my armor, shone so bright
For armor that was dark as night
I found myself a charcoal steed
Blackened heart was finally freed
Purified in hate and pain
I set out for the darkened plain
My blade of hardened ebony
Eyes of vengeance set on thee
Heroic once, until I fell
And now I send thee unto Hell
