Sardonically Serious Saturday

Because I couldn’t think of any other title mostly. πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

Hope everyone’s weekend is going well so far. It’s looking to be a quiet and rainy one around here.

By the time this posts, I should have started my next experimental workout. One thing I figured out on this new job is I need to take my fitness level up another notch or two.

One thing I have learned quickly is that working around 3,200 lb. pieces of metal that radiate a high amount of heat is that if you’re not in shape, you’re going to hit the wall quickly. I consider myself in decent shape, but this is a whole different ballgame. Working at odd angles in high temp surroundings on heavy equipment is not to be taken lightly.

I am going to be attempting to fit as many workouts into a four to six hour window as I can today. I’m looking at multiple 15 – 20 minute sessions spread throughout the morning. I am attempting to replicate working under higher stress conditions as closely as possible. It’s not likely to be fun, but it may be worth it.

Anyhow, I’ll do the best I can and get as far as I am able. If I hit a wall sooner than I anticipate, then I will know exactly how much work lies ahead of me. Probably more than I am estimating.

But, I won’t know until I try, so here goes nothing, as they say.

Other than that, I am hoping to get some writing done today as well. I’ve got a few ideas I’d like to get committed to print while I have the free time.

Hope your day/weekend is an enjoyable one! Take care and stay frosty.

Peace, y’all. 🀘

P.S.

Here’s a few random pics I made last night.

  2. Have fun with the workouts!! I totally agree, you don’t know how much you can tolerate until you try, and yes, push yourself beyond your limits to see just how far you can go. Then you know your boundaries…
    Happy Saturday! 🌞

      5. Oh, that’s okay, I really don’t want you getting probed or unkind experimentation at the ER. My pops had a major surgery, and he was given too much morphine … I went in to visit, and he asked me to round the cattle while he was dangling from the bolted (now on one-side only) tv from the wall. Me and the nurse, high-tailed it over each other trying to get out of the room. So, another reason not to go (lol)! Be safe!

      11. You would think!? Especially a person who doesn’t go to the doc-in-the-box for every ailment. Seriously, it’s crazy money out here and I wish we (Californians) could even afford Covered California! Through employers it’s still close to a grand! Sorry for the soapbox, Kevin … thanks for letting me rant! You are a good soul! πŸ™‚
