A streak of red across the sky
A scarlet hue which caught my eye
The coming of impending night
Fading slivers, precious light
Reflecting in the reddish glow
Thoughts that only I can know
Time to think and time to dream
Lost within the crimson stream
My mind has started taking flight
As you kiss me with your warm goodnight
