A tired, weary traveler
Walks a lonely path at night
Through the eyes of his exhaustion
He can see a gleam of light
In the distance, he can hear it
Sound of laughter, honey sweet
He drags his body forward
Where he hopes to find retreat
A solitary temple
Long untouched, it does appear
Like a moth drawn to the fire
It is beckoning him near
Through a door he should not open
But he finds he can’t resist
A scent intoxicating
Like a musky morning’s kiss
As he inches through the hallways
A whisper softly in his ear
“I knew somehow you’d find me”
He feels excitement tinged with fear
A final door remaining
What exactly will he find?
A thousand pictures racing
Through his fevered, feral mind
On an altar made of marble
There she lay before his eyes
With a smile sweet as morning
Fingers dancing on her thigh
She beckons him come forward
And he finds he must obey
Enraptured by her beauty
To the altar where she lay
Candles flicker in the temple
As they share a sultry kiss
His mind awash in pleasure
Upon her lips, a taste of bliss
The heavens soon are parting
As their bodies intertwine
For her succulence he’s thirsting
For a taste of sweetest wine
Sounds of ecstasy unleashing
Piercing through the temple halls
As he finds a home within her
Deep within her sacred walls
Feral naked dance continues
Like two beasts attacking prey
Engulfed in flames of passion
On the altar where they lay
ยฉThe Beginning At Last
