I rarely have a need for cash here in Thailand. Every transaction can be done by phone, even with the old auntie street vendor stalls outside houses. Even for things that cost about 5 cents!
Oddly, the only place I do need cash is at 7/11 where they use a different electronic system that I haven’t joined.

We can pretty much go without it if we so desire here too, but at the end of the day, it always speaks loudest, it seems.
