If you got the reference, then you have earned your nerd card. 😉👍
I think I have only answered this, or very similar questions, about 1,236.7 times before, but since I am at a total loss for anything else to post at the moment, here goes 😄
Playing Guitar:

This prompt is timely in one regard, in that today I picked up the guitar for the first time in, well…I can’t remember, if that’s any indication.
The results were, painful, to put it nicely.
When Laura asked me if I meant because it sounded bad or it hurt the fingers, my reply was “Both.” 😄
My chops are rustier than the nail off an 1830s farmhouse.
The majority of the problem is definitely my lack of playing, but the axe definitely needs some adjustment too. We’ll see how it goes. 🤷♂️
Writing:

Oh, writing. You salty, bitter old bitch. To call our relationship hot and cold would be putting it nicely. 😄
As regular readers probably know, I have what may possibly be the weirdest relationship ever with the act of writing. Part of it is frustration for the mere act itself, which I am sure most writers can relate to.
The other part is the utter disdain I have for my own work, as I have made no secret of in the past. The pieces I’ve written that I am actually semi-proud of are few and far between. Still, like a total idiot, I keep doing it for some ungodly reason. Maybe I just like the punishment. 💀😄😄
Knitting:

Nah, only kidding. If I tried to knit, I’d likely poke my own eye out before I even got to the first stitch! 😜
Meaningless Fact of the Day: Gorilla’s mother used to knit every day for years on end. Now she just makes quilts and does jigsaw puzzles. The big ones. Not them 12 piece deals.
Reading:

Something else I have been trying to get back into lately. I used to read a bit daily. I do read blog posts pretty much daily, but I mean actually sitting down with a book. I used to try dedicating at least 20 minutes a day to reading. Currently, I just started Dr. No by Ian Fleming. Bond. James Bond.
Working Out:

Gorilla loves his workouts. And it’s probably the one thing I have done consistently over the past God-only-knows years. Even when I was “off”, I was still doing at least a few sets of pushups or something on the regular. But over time, I have been pretty damned religious about it.
Strength has always fascinated me, and I’ve had a very long journey in pursuit of it. I was never a world class, elite powerlifter/bodybuilder or anything like that. But, I am proud to say that I’ve gotten pretty freaking strong over the years. At least easily above average. Growing up in the age of action movie icons like Arnold, Sly and JCVD was definitely an influence on me. But in addition to that, I also had an admiration for the rugged strength of men like my grandfather. He was lean and wiry, but he was one tough, strong dude. Trust me when I say you wouldn’t wanna mess with him.
These days, I continue that pursuit in spite of some nagging neck, back and knee issues. I intend to battle Father Time to the final bell, even if my punches don’t carry the same pop, I’ll go down swinging. And I’ll damn sure be the sexiest mofo in the funeral parlor, dead or alive! 😄😄
On that semi-tasteless note, I bid thee a great day.
Stay Frosty and Keep It Greasy.
