If you like Indian food and you’re in a pinch, Deep Indian Kitchen Chicken Biryani is bomb. Matter of fact, most of their stuff is solid. Yeah, it’s frozen, but if you’re craving and the local place is closed…

And no, I still don’t have any endorsement deals. ๐Ÿ™„

Will the New England Patriots ever get an offensive line again? The world may never know.

Really grateful for all the discussion that took place on my recent daily prompt post. Lots of great insights in the comments. Everyone who took the time to read and/or comment, my sincerest thanks.

Dovetailing off that: Sleep. My next major hurdle to overcome. You don’t realize how much you miss it until you’re not getting it. Currently I am a bit under it and I am sure that is one major factor. Three hours at a clip is not a recipe for success.

Weather is shifting this week around here. Was almost 80 yesterday, and by tomorrow the high will be 60. My sinuses greatly appreciate the sudden change in pressure, Nature. Thanks a bunch ๐Ÿ˜„

Haven’t felt much desire to write poems. Had a couple recently, but at the moment that well is a bit dry. I am enjoying the current free form approach of just posting whatever. Hopefully, a lot of you are digging it too.

You see the best and worst of humanity at the supermarket, I swear. The gall of some people and the way they treat the staff is downright appalling at times. Newsflash: “Service Worker” does not mean “Servant”. Treat people with the respect you think you deserve. Or…maybe you are? Which says a lot about your self-image if that’s the case.

That concludes this transmission from GHQ.

Stay Frosty. Over & Out.

  1. Love the gorilla today! I have been one of those servants and enjoyed it. Thanking and respecting is key!

    1. I worked in restaurants for a long time as a cook and manager. Most folks are good, but some….man. ๐Ÿ˜„

  2. I still remember your one random thoughts post and how that was so long ago and you fit that one specific line in there so cleverly!! Working on it ๐Ÿ˜†

The treatment of service workers will never not blow my mind. I used to be a waitress so Iโ€™ve dealt with it (so have many others, Iโ€™m sure) and the fact that someone feels like they can be a dick to you, but you have their food? Nahhโ€ฆmiss me with that shit, please.

But then again, I guess nursing is a โ€œglorified serverโ€ to some people ๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿ˜’

Sorry, wasnโ€™t meant to be a โ€œme too,โ€ there, just relating to your statement.

Sleep. Letโ€™s do all the things. Please ๐Ÿ™ Iโ€™m begging. I donโ€™t beg. Hopefully you are resting now โค๏ธ and feel better upon waking ๐Ÿ˜Š

Oh, this phone thing? We gotta fix it btw lol ๐Ÿ˜†

    1. I have not brought that up, have I? I can be patient sometimes lol

Oh I’ve seen plenty of nurses get shit upon too. Some people just think it’s their right to act like that. Meanwhile if someone treated them like that, they’d flip.

Sleep is meh. But not feeling 100% is probably not helping matters

The phone thing. Talk about hit or miss lol

      1. Patient indeed ๐Ÿ˜‰
So sorry youโ€™re still not feeling well, definitely would love to help you out there ๐Ÿ™
Phone, wellโ€ฆitโ€™s behaving now it seems, so letโ€™s just hope it continues.

Yeah, it’s still haunting me unfortunately. Hope it breaks soon.

  3. Sleep… I’m with you, sir! Except, I actually do get “some” sleep, but I still feel extremely fatigued! Probably has something to do with the weather. 80 yesterday, 60 today… what will tomorrow bring? Who knows? Certainly not the weatherman! LOL! Somehow, they always manage to get it wrong. Was supposed to be 70 today.

    1. We have had drastic shifts in weather too, and I am sure that’s not helping. I have a lot of factors working against me lately. Hopefully soon I can figure it out.

      1. Hmmm…. are any of those “factors” avoidable?

I tried the Indian Kitchen Tikka Masala wrap recently, and thought it was pretty darn good. Surprising!

  7. Trouble sleeping is no damn fun, to be sure. I use allergy medicine when I need a little extra help with that. It has the added bonus of helping with sinus issues as well. ๐Ÿ˜‰

    1. No, it is not for sure. I’ve been trying everything lately and so far, no luck. Have used the allergy meds before too. Thanks, Phoebe!

  9. Sleepytime tea. Better than sleep aids. Puts me out pretty consistently without the grogginess in the morning. I have about the same relationship with sleep you seem to.

    1. I know a few folks who use that, but I’ve never tried it. Perhaps I’ll give it a shot. Thanks!
