When I need some peace and quiet, I like to take a ride to any one of the small towns up north of me. There’s a lot of nice rural areas within 20 minutes, and the further north one goes, the more peaceful and quiet it gets.

There’s something quite soothing about just standing around and embracing the silence, watching the lake waters gently roll along. For a moment in time, you almost feel immortal – Like you truly are one with the world around you.

The air is a little cleaner, the temperature is a little cooler, and there is just an aura of peace that cannot be duplicated anywhere else. Under the wide open sky, surrounded by the trees, the water and the wildlife, you realize that you really are a part of something much bigger.

You’re a part of something much bigger, but also something quite sacred and beautiful. It might not scream “excitement” or “glamour” to some, but that’s the nicest thing about it:
It doesn’t need to scream to be seen, heard or appreciated. It’s silence speaks volumes.
