Power Visions (Experimental Edition)

SOMETIMES WE HAVE TO PRESS THROUGH THE UNKNOWN TO FIND OUR POWER

Inspiration by Laura at Black Moon Lilith

Originally seen on Black Moon Lilith

Sometimes we have to go a bit outside the box to see what we are or aren’t capable of.

The above images are some of my first attempts to combine images I have generated with my own photography.

I first tried a week or so back and sent some of the results to Laura to see what she thought. The last picture is one that she featured in one of her recent posts (which I am very grateful for), so I guess we can deduce she enjoyed it.

I was hesitant about posting these at first, but then I decided I would go for it. I have enjoyed experimenting with these and shall likely continue playing around with the idea at times. Something about combining the two forms feels unique and challenging to me.

The whole point is, while it may not always be comfortable, don’t be afraid to press yourself from time to time with new writing techniques, new photo ideas, or what have you. This can apply to most anything, really. Diet, exercise, so on and so forth.

While these images are not perfect yet, I am proud of the effort and I hope you enjoy them too.

Stay powerful. And don’t be afraid to stray outside the comfort zone once in awhile.

    1. Thank you. They’re not the highest end work I’ve ever done but it was fun for something different.
Hopefully I can refine the technique and make it more seamless as I go.
Very glad you like them, of course. I have others but I’m waiting to see if they get used elsewhere first ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜˜

  7. It doesn’t matter, if I or somebody else likes your images or not. You tried something else called it “experimental” and the result speaks for itself.

You know at DDG, I see a lot of people experimenting and though I don’t always “like” it, the results are interesting and intriguing.

Keep up the fantastic work and try more experimental stuff and forget people pleasing, that’s not where the fun is.

Having said that, personally I appreciate the enchanting “Laura” images. Reminds me of a view into a “cloudy” crystal ball.

I will certainly continue tinkering with them. If nothing else, it’s definitely fun trying to see what I can come up with.
For a first go, I am not too disappointed. Hopefully I can refine them as I go.
Have a great weekend my friend! ๐Ÿ™

  8. Very valid point, Kevin. We come across opportunities for growth when we stray far from our comfort zones. I liked the results of this experiment but as Chris has said so wisely, it doesn’t matter. Keep experimenting and keep challenging yourself!

  10. This is interesting, Kevin. I haven’t worked with AI as yet but have seen some incredible photography/AI combinations. I think it is a legitimate art form, as long as photographers don’t sell it as pure photography. I guess it is the same for fine artists using AI. Like you say, it’s good to experiment.

  12. That’s an important message there Kevin, we need to stray outside our comfort zones at times to see what we’re really capable of. So push those boundaries and keep sharing your images please! Can I ask whats your favourite app/AI thing to use to make images?
