So, it was just over a year ago when I registered here on WP.
I don’t really know what I was thinking when I did it. 😄
I never considered myself the “blogging” type, and in a lot of ways I really still don’t. Nothing against it at all, just never seemed like something that fit my character or interests.
I was freshly unemployed and suddenly had a lot of time on my hands. I guess maybe somewhere in the back of my head I figured I needed a way to process what had just happened.
Will Post For Food…
When it started out, it was just random thoughts and motivationals. Mostly written for myself, but I figured what the hell…Maybe they’ll help someone else feel better too. 🤷♂️
What it became, however, was far, far different from what I envisioned.
Somewhere along the line, AI images and a gorilla got thrown into the mix and it’s never been quite the same since. I mean, where else can a fella get placed into office strictly by the popular vote? Electoral college be damned, I say! 😄

Mecha Mondays (Or something like that. It’s been a minute.)

Fantasy Fridays
And the one that trumped them all, of course…
There’s been a ton of poems, a few attempts at ongoing stories and the occasional rant.
Speaking of which, WTF is up with Reader? Put it back the way it was! 😠
Seriously, WP. Just. Stop. Please.
I’ve gone back and forth several times over this past year about keeping this thing going. I’ve thought about deleting this page, I’ve gone off the radar for spells, and hell, I even said goodbye once.
If I am being completely honest, my creative interests have waned a lot these past couple months. With my current work schedule and some recurring health and (especially) sleep issues, it’s tough finding the drive to continue.
But, I am still here and I guess that counts for something. 🤷♂️
The main reason I am still here, of course, is all of you.
If it wasn’t for the fantastic and supportive community here, I’d probably have ditched this thing by December 16th, 2023.
You have made this all an extremely fun, rewarding and worthwhile journey, and for that, you have my sincerest thanks. I hope in some small way that my presence here has been enjoyable for you, as well.
And, of course, I must give an extra special thank you to my partner in crime. You’ve helped me in far more ways than you’ll ever know.

Before this drags on far longer than it should, I would just like to say thank you all once again for sharing your creative talents, and especially, your friendship.
It has lifted me up far more times than you can possibly imagine, and I am indebted to each of you for your continual kindness and concern.
