This one is tough to answer, since at this time last year, I was freshly unemployed and trying to figure out just what the hell I was going to do.
I don’t think I had a picture of what I was going to be doing a year from that point. I was more concerned with what I was going to do “right now”, as it were.
They say losing a job is one of the most traumatic things a person can go through in their life, and I can see why that’s a fair statement.
While there was a fair share of relief, there was also the spectre of bills, gas, putting food on the table, etc. Not to mention it was almost Christmas.

Okay…Just how the hell am I gonna pay for this?
I think the only thing I really knew at that point in time was that I was going to try going back to school for some courses, which I did in January of this year.
Beyond that, it was basically “find a job”. Anything beyond that was honestly, not a concern at the time. I was only concerned with surviving and getting back in the game.
I suppose if you look at it from that perspective, then yes, I am where I thought I’d be. But, let’s be real – I was just figuring it out as I went along and hoping I didn’t fall on my ass too many times. 😄
Have a great day, folks. 😊
