I hope everyone enjoys this poem. It was a distinct pleasure to put words to Laura’s beautiful photograph. I hope I did this fine image justice.

As many of you likely saw from Laura’s recent post, she has been a bit under the weather as of late, in addition to a hectic work schedule. She is on the mend and sends everyone her best wishes.

This is my long work week, so I will be hit and miss for a couple days as well. I guess it can’t be pizza pies and naps every day. 🙄😄

I will be around ASAP to get caught up on NTT entries as well. Keep them coming, please! 😊

    So, bro, I spent some time in meditation in a recent post of yours, and here are some thoughts to share:

    Although I’m not sure I’ve done it on your site, when I have time I often do read through comments after a post, “liking” all the kind, friendly, or unusually intelligent ones. It’s an entirely legitimate way of increasing community connection.

    At 180 IQ, I read really ~ really ~ fast, too.

    Whatever kind of sidebar statistical matrix (don’t have one on my 5 inch screen) this action would screw up, it seems to me, is what requires refinement ~ not the frequency of friendly outreach on your site. That sidebar needs to show which “likes” came in for your post, and which for its participating commenters. You might want to suggest it to the Help Desk.

    I’m sure not going to make a special exception to my online practices for your site only, but if stats are a be-all and end-all for you, I can volunteer to unsubscribe from it for you. Then all you have to do is the same, and, presto, if it’s a real problem, the problem is solved.

    It doesn’t seem to me in line with your other priorities, however, that you’re bothered by friendly participation. One of the most beautiful aspects of your ongoing work, it has always seemed to me, is its focus on the nourishment of creative community. But ~ do let me know if I should.

    Okay, on my way, be back till I’m told differently ~ keep up the good work, my brother 👌✨

      Hi Ana, what I was referring to in the other post was people/bots who are dropping likes literally seconds apart across multiple different posts and comment pages, at a rate which is clear no one is able to read at. 99% of the time, this behavior comes from pages that are only trying to sell a questionable product or service – not from genuine bloggers. The behavior these blogs display is not a byproduct of fast reading, nor is it a like to show genuine appreciation. For them, it is a means to an end and nothing more.
      Bloggers like yourself and most others are not who I am referring to at all, nor is it about my stats at all. There is a small handful who are merely doing it for their own gain, trying to make a quick buck or boost their own stats. They have frustrated several bloggers with their selfish behavior, and I felt the need to get it off my chest.
      If you took offense for any reason, my apologies. How genuine bloggers and writers conduct themselves was not the aim of my discussion. Thanks and have a great day!
