That Feeling When…

You drive to work in a snow storm, work 12.5 hours, finally thaw your car out, and when you’re one street from home…

Someone slides into your car. 🙄

What a way to end your 60 hour work week. 😄

Howdy, folks. Hope everyone is well. As I stated up top, this was my long work week, hence my absence. And yes, I did have a minor accident this morning on the way home.

I’ll spare the details, but luckily, neither car nor gorilla were damaged.

This was followed by an invigorating bout of shoveling snow and spreading salt around to keep from falling on one’s ass.

Just what I want to do after working 12+ hours…

By then, I was way too tired too log in this morning, So, imagine my surprise when I logged in tonight and found that they changed the comment page in the dashboard.

Man, I love surprises.

Not. This. Again.

Maybe it’s just me, but I thought the old format was pretty easy to navigate, and I could usually get my comments completed in a pretty tidy fashion. Now, I can’t even figure out how to drop a simple like via the dashboard. 🤦‍♂️

I’m not opposed to change, but man, make it make sense in the very least.

Anyhow, enough of my bitching, I guess (for now lol).

I am trying to navigate this new dash, so please bear with me in the interim. And if you have an NTT entry that I’ve not replied to yet, can you please drop me a link again? I know it’s a pain in the ass, and I apologize, but I am truly lost at the moment. 😄

I hope everyone else is having a great week so far! We’re looking at below zero temps for the next few days, so that should be fun!

Have a good one, y’all!

P.S.

If y’all are bored again, here’s last year’s reply to the daily prompt.

  1. What a bummer, Kevin! Accidents are the worst. Thank goodness you weren’t hurt. ☺️

When things like this happen, do you behave like David Banner and break into gorilla mode? That would have been exciting! 🤩

Take good care, my man! 🥰

    1. Thanks, Nancy. Yes, it was actually quite lucky all things considered.
Actually, the funny thing is I was actually quite calm through the whole thing. Even as the other car was coming at me, I had the presence of mind to swerve out of the way, which is likely the reason there’s no damage. If not for that I would have likely been screwed lol

  17. I’m sorry about your long night and car/weather delays, Kevin. I hope you don’t have to go anywhere today.

Yes, I find the new comment settings clumsy and don’t like that I can’t “Like” simple statements to acknowledge reading them. WP needs to stop messing around with our formats. We should have a complaint box that we can stuff with our grievances.

Keep warm and take good care of yourself, my friend.

  18. Been there done that, while living in the Chicago area. *sigh* My current residence in Chattanooga doesn’t get that much snow at all – the 12 years I’ve lived here, I think it only seriously snowed maybe 3 times, if memory serves… and at my age, the memory isn’t serving as well as it should! LOL 😀 Of course, “seriously” is a subjective term, especially when compared to the winter weather in the midwest.

As for the new comment page on the dashboard, I haven’t been around for 5 years, so I’m relearning WordPress all over again, in it’s entirety!

I’m glad no damage came to you and your car – stay toasty, and take the rest of the week off!

    Liked by 3 people

    1. Ah, yes, you can totally relate then. And then some, more than likely 😄
The snow was far from the worst we’ve ever seen, but it was enough.
The negative value temps are what’s really getting us now. Another day or so, it’s supposed to be more normal.

I am not sure I envy yo having to relearn it all, but if it makes you feel better, I am still fumbling around like an idiot with the comments! 😄
