Well, I certainly couldn’t let this one pass by, could I?
As the title hints at, today is indeed Edward Van Halen’s birthday.
I don’t think it is any great secret how much I absolutely love Van Halen, and that Eddie, to me, is the GOAT.
And while it may seem silly to some for an *ahem* older gorilla to still be so smitten with a band and artist, I can honestly say that the impact their music had on me was immeasurable.
Music truly does have the power to heal, and it saw me through some very dark and difficult days.
Was Eddie a saint? No. He was human just like the rest of us. Did he have a positive impact on my life? Hell yes. And I am very, very grateful for that.
Happy Birthday, Eddie. Rest In Peace. Never forgotten.
Now, let’s listen to some VH and remember the good times, shall we?
