So Many Books…

Bloganuary writing prompt
What books do you want to read?

I can’t really use time as an excuse these days, but I’m going to anyhow. πŸ˜„

I have a ton of things on deck to read, but I haven’t gotten a start on it yet. Must be too busy blogging and playing with digital pics. 😬

Anyhow, off the top of my dome, I have the following to dig into:

Dark Knights of Steel: Volumes 1 and 2 of the graphic novel.

Crisis On Infinite Earths graphic novel re-read.

X-Men: Days of Future Past graphic novel re-read.

Dr. No by Ian Fleming (last of the Fleming Bond books on my list)

Casino Royale graphic novel

About three other James Bond books

A book about the history of Nazis and their fascination with occult in WW2.

There’s others, but I cannot think of them right now. I’d best get reading!

01/27/25: So, I look back and see that the only thing I have done is start Dr. No from that list. Not read. Started. πŸ˜„

Clearly, I have not prioritized reading over the past 365 days.

However, I did have the honor of reading Ernie’s Ink Stained Love, and posted a review here.

If you have not picked up a copy yet, I suggest you get on over to Amazon and snag yourself one! I have ordered an additional copy for myself, as I want to have one for repeat reading. I wish to preserve the limited edition hardcover, as it is very special to me.

As for the above list: Well, maybe by the time this prompt rolls around again next year I will have made a dent.

No promises, though. πŸ˜„

Have a great day, folks!

        Recommendations. Wow, let’s see.
Superman: The Man of Steel by John Byrne
Batman: Year One by Frank Miller
        Marvel Superheroes Secret Wars
        DC Crisis On Infinite Earths
Daredevil The Man Without Fear by Frank Miller
        300 by Frank Miller
The Dark Knight Returns by Frank Miller
        Watchmen by Alan Moore

Watchmen is a bit raw, but it’s a great take on the superhero genre and the common tropes.

I’m sorry for butting in a whole dang year later but Destiny you STILL going on about balance you mean to tell me you haven’t finally become a master of it yet?! πŸ€£πŸ˜† I think the universe is unfair when it comes to that ever elusive *balance* and I think that word needs to be banished from existence lol πŸ˜†
