Day After Day

Describe your most ideal day from beginning to end.

Well, I think right off the bat, every decent day should start with a cup of java! Maybe even a few…?

Let’s be real, kids. One is rarely enough.

After, or even during, that, I’d likely be on the computer checking in here and other random sites. A bit of reading, a bit of writing and all that good stuff.

Note: Since this said “ideal day”, I am taking work and school off the table, since I think it likely doesn’t fit too many people’s definition of an “ideal” day. If it was a work day, the routine is far, far different.

Note to self: Need to work traps more!

After that, a round or two of exercise fits the bill quite nicely.

I know a lot of folks say they have trouble staying consistent with this one, and I can relate. It’s tough when “life” rears it’s head. That said, I am pretty proud that even during the more “down” periods, I have been able to get at least some exercise in regularly for essentially well over 20 years.

When in doubt…Lift!

Moving on, I would probably do the “errand” thing. Hit the gas station and then move onto the grocery store, because as we all know, them frozen pizzas ain’t gonna buy themselves!

And, for some weird reason, no, I don’t mind grocery shopping. I actually kind of enjoy it. ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ˜„

Rao’s? Newman’s? Red Baron? Decisions, decisions!

Amidst my day, I also like checking in with friends and/or family. It doesn’t have to be a long conversation, but a moment in the day for some connection is always welcome.

Always good to have a chance to check in.

The remainder of the day could be filled with any assortment of reading, more writing, generating pics for things like NTT, etc., of even going out for a quick ride just to chill and get away from it all for a minute.

Nothing like a quick cruise to clear the old brain box.

Ultimately, my ideal day really comes down to doing what I want, when I want, and not worrying so much about what the rest of the world wants.

Life gets it’s pound of flesh often enough from all of us. When we get the chance to take some back, it’s best to seize the moment and take the shot.

Have a good one, folks! ๐Ÿค˜

  2. Sounds like a relaxing trip through time. I don’t mind shopping either now that I’m older. And it’s always a treat to go down the ‘java’ aisle. Great answer today brother.

  3. I completely agree on the importance of self-care and relaxation! Taking time for ourselves is keyโ€”whether itโ€™s enjoying a good cup of coffee, squeezing in a workout, or just having a moment to connect with friends or family. Itโ€™s all about doing what makes us happy and rejuvenated. Life’s demands can be relentless, so those little breaks are crucial. Hereโ€™s to more days filled with doing what we love, when we want!

    Have a great one!

    1. Yes, these days are most needed from time to time, lest the wheels start to come off eventually, and that rarely ends well for anyone..

Thank you much and a great day to you as well!

  4. Yes. Doing what I want than what is expected, is certainly good ideal day.
I can agree with the trying to keep the momentum of exercising is sometimes hard to do. I am trying to work on that one this year.

    1. Once you do it long enough, it’s like anything else – it just becomes a habit and part of the routine.
Enjoying it does help, but it’s not required by any means!

โ˜•๏ธ๐Ÿ’ช A perfect day indeed, especially with coffee and oh yeah, more coffee – definitely, exercising has been a struggle for me, and grocery shopping is at times lots of fun, especially when you run into friends and family ๐Ÿ˜„. Keep lifting, Kevin, and here’s to more “me time” and making those decisions between frozen pizzas ๐Ÿ•๐Ÿค˜ Connie’s has been my favorite go-to pizza lately, by the way … Be Blessed and Be Well. ๐Ÿ™Œ

    1. Connie’s. Not one I have heard of. Interesting! ๐Ÿ˜„
It’s definitely not required to enjoy exercise, but it does help a great deal. If you find something you truly enjoy, you are more liable to keep it regular.
There are spells where I fall off, but I usually manage to do at least a little something. I think it’s more about just staying consistent and keeping moving.
I mostly go to the supermarket either very early, or very late, so there’s rarely too many people there. It’s peaceful in a way lol

      Have a great one, Brother!

You need to try Connie’s. It’s not bad. Also Red Baron Brick oven is pretty good.

Hope you have a great up coming weekend .

  8. My days are pretty much the same day after day, I get up at 5am while having breakfast I start going through my emails and since school has gone back today from Monday to Friday, I ring my granddaughter Sam at 7.10am to wake her up then at 7.30 to make sure she is out of bed and if she isn’t here by 7.55 I ring again to hurry her up then at 8.05 we head up to the top of the driveway to wait for her transport driver to pick her up and drive her to school. I then come home, exercise for 20 minutes continue reading blogs then post my blog before sitting down to watch YouTube for a bit. I also often vacuum and clean the kitchen and feed the birds
