Monday Mayhem

Good afternoon to all! Hope everyone’s week is off to a good start.

I figured since we had a Serenity Sunday, we might as well dive in head first with some Monday Mayhem!

I’d love to post something highly motivational to everyone, but right now I am in sheer agony due to a neck and back issue. Going to get it checked out tomorrow. Fingers crossed I can get some relief.

Keep kicking asses, taking names and remember, you deserve nothing less than the absolute best. Never settle and never give up the battle!!!

      1. You’re very welcome. Lol, I understand. It’s so uncomfortable especially when your neck hurts.

  3. Sorry to hear youโ€™re in pain with your neck and back. maybe itโ€™s something minor from doing all those push-ups? hope the doctor can help you out. Thanks for the cool art.

    1. Hey Amy, it’s one of those issues that’s been haunting me off and on for a long time. I’m sure the pushups didn’t exactly help, but there’s a deeper issue. My neck has been trash for at least 10 years. I’ve just been dealing with it. The low back/hip thing is a year or two old now.

      1. Gotcha. My entire cervical spine is a hot mess. Itโ€™s part of the reason why I have migraine and vertigo, so I totally empathize. And I also have a hip problem. I have FAI in my right hip. Iโ€™m thinking about asking for PT for my entire body, but Iโ€™m not sure they offer lifetime memberships. Lol. Hang in there, Kevin.

      2. Thanks, Amy. You too! if you find that lifetime membership, please let me know lol
This is something I probably should have gotten looked at ages ago, but I was just too lazy/stubborn/stupid to do so. Better late than never eh? ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ

      3. Definitely better late than never. Itโ€™s not really stupidity, itโ€™s more I hopefulness that it will just resolve, I think. Iโ€™m sure hopeful that either a lifetime membership of PT or a full body cast will really do the trick for me. Lol

      4. That’s the thing. It would have spells where it wasn’t too bad and I’d kind of forget about it. Mild discomfort, but nothing I couldn’t handle.
Today though, the whole left side of my body gave me one giant middle finger and I said I’m done. F it lol
Full body cast? Yikes! No bueno! ๐Ÿ˜„

      5. When I think about all of the abuse Iโ€™ve done to my cervical spine, Iโ€™m surprised that it hasnโ€™t lashed out at me earlier than this. Car accidents, carrying a book bag on one shoulder for 12 years, heavy pursesโ€ฆ the neck remembers everything. And when itโ€™s done, itโ€™s done. I think your neck has just told you itโ€™s done. Lol
Maybe not the full body cast but definitely the lifetime membership of PT. ๐Ÿ˜

      6. I am 90% sure I remember the day this actually started. There was a day many years ago when I was lifting and I felt an odd sensation and I am pretty sure I slightly tore or strained a bicep but kept working out. I think all the compensating for that over time screwed up my neck, etc. lol
But regardless, it’s a toll of many years of lifting stupid heavy weights and probably not great form that had a hand in it

  4. Hey Kevin! I hope you are able to find some relief for your neck and back. You might see if a spinal decompression doctor is in town. Not cheap and not covered by insurance but it is MUCH safer than chiropractic. Good luck on that. My Monday started out fine but then I slept through class and missed a quiz. GRRRR>mad at myself for that. I need every top grade possible this semester. Its early so I can make it up.

Other than that, its been a top notch Monday! TOP of the day to you mi amigo!

    1. Hi Jenn, thanks much. This doctor also does ultrasound, soft tissue work, etc. and has a pretty good rep. I’ll see what he says and take it from there.
I do appreciate the suggestion and all options are currently on the table.
Sorry about the quiz! Oversleeping sucks. Have a great night!
