I feel the need to walk away

Perhaps return another day

Times they change, and people too

I feel at last my time is through

Moving on, I don’t know where

Without a clue, without a care

A song once said ‘While it’s still fun”

“Walk before they make me run”

Within my head those words ring true

So now I say goodbye to you

Perhaps our paths will cross again

I don’t know how or even when

If fate decides this is the last

With fondest eyes I’ll view the past

Farewell my friends, do not despair

Remember that I once was there

    Sometimes all you could do is walk away. It doesn’t mean that you’re giving up or quitting. It just means that you’re done wasting time.

        Thanks, Pooja. The irony for me is it may have actually influenced me the other way, but that’s why I put it on the screen: I needed to know.
        I know that doesn’t make sense, but it does to me lol

      That’s one of my favorite Stones tunes. Keith isn’t a great singer, but the ones he sings fit his voice to a T, in my opinion.

        I am completely convinced that at the end of time, the only thing left will be Keith Richards, a distillery and a Fender Telecaster and he’ll be singing a song about outliving us all 😄

    When I read this page, I wanted ti send my feedback in length. I have been there in that place. To move on is the most hardest thing, that would do us good personally, but have no clue “how?”. At some point of time, I felt like being in the soil pit, unable to get myself up on the surface. The more I tried, the more it took me down. But one day, I came to the surface. Still I was sitting on the ground watching the soil pit, couldn’t make myself walk away. An attachment to the pit. After months, I walked away, but kept looking back. I have gotten out of the place finally, but with a huge void within me. Moving on helps us a lot, but how to fill the void is a million dollar question”?”

      This is very valuable and interesting feedback. Thank you. I would also say that sometimes, though. the void might actually be much needed space. I think that is where each individual needs to figure out what it is to them.
      Is it leaving a void? Or giving you space that you truly need? Maybe it’s a space that’s not meant to be filled right away.
      It could also come down to what it truly better for us. Is it better to remain in the pit or face the void? I think it comes down to a choice of priorities and balance.
