A kingdom crumbles all around me.
Wails of agony echo through the cold night air.
Still, I have arisen.
Licking flames and acrid smoke engulf me.
I choke on ash and taste my own blood.
Still, I have arisen.
My tribe slaughtered like livestock to market.
Their souls like coin to the merchant called Death.
Still, I have arisen.
Limbs wracked with pain, heavy as iron.
Wind like a bellows, feeding fire that pursues me.
Still, I have arisen.
Left for dead, an afterthought, fodder for vultures.
Trapped like a beast, predators awaiting last gasp.
Still, I have arisen.
Climbing and climbing, sinews screaming aloud.
No heartbeat, only vengeance moves my blood.
For I have arisen!
