ยฉ The Beginning At Last
I think for me this is the most frustrating part of going through the dark pit. Some days all seems well, you feel confident you’ve conquered the darkness, made it out, learned the lessons, positive about the next moment…then the next day you are down worse than before. The up and down of it, sometimes feels like I’m going crazy.
Life is hard, I find it easier for me to move with it as I can. If I feel broken, I stay broken…till I feel otherwise.
Neither trying to get out of it nor surrendering to it helps at all.
We can only hope that it shall pass, even the temporal breaks are appreciated.
Good Friday is a holiday here in Ghana, is it the same for you?
You can stay in and watch silly stuff online, koalas kicking each other out of trees I find so ridiculously funny ๐คฃ.
I’ve never seen koalas having “this is my tree, get out!” fights but now I absolutely need to.

Maybe trite, but I recently came across the line, “tough times don’t last, tough people do.” Just know that you’ve survived crap in the past and made it through; doesn’t mean it didn’t suck last time and won’t suck this time, but you’ve won 100% of these down spells.
You have a lot of love and support around you, Kevin. Try to hang on to that. Mourning is part of the process, but then the only one who can pick yourself up and keep moving is for you to do that. Sending a giant hug your way.
I reiterate what everyone else has already said: hang in there. This too shall pass, even though it doesnโt feel like it.
