A bit of a rant.
We’ll start with the summary.

So, this week was mostly ups with a few minor hiccups. Started the new job Tuesday, and overall, it went well. Everyone thus far has been very cool and seems to like the place. Even the grouchy employees acknowledge that the place is pretty good, which bodes well for the most part.
They have gripes of course, and nothing’s perfect, but the vibe is mostly relaxed, and when things are running well, the job seems quite easy. With what I came from, most anything would look easy if I am being truthful.
Did have a snafu on day three, when I woke up sick AF, but I was able to pull it together and make up the day yesterday, so I could end on a good note.

The Agoge Update.

So, I started my little personal “agoge” experiment a couple weeks back. I wont sit here and say it’s been stellar, but it has not been all bad. I’ve been able to keep the exercise portion up, including a 1,000 rep workout a week or so back, which I am pretty proud of. The things that have suffered most have been the reading and writing. I still need to figure out the routine and where everything fits with the new job. It’ll be fine. Just going to take some tweaking here and there.
And now, the rant.

Seriously, WP…What the fuck?
This shit is annoying. In addition to the usual b.s. like pingbacks being inconsistent and random unsubscriptions, I’ve now run into issues logging in the past couple days. Keep getting some stupid error about being unable to retrieve info or some such. It takes three to four attempts on average. And, once I am logged in, when I go to comment on people’s pages, it will randomly decided to tell me I am not logged in, when I clearly freaking am.
I’ve had to give up on leaving comments in more than one case and settle for a like, which does not thrill me. But mind you, it’s not every page. It’s just a random occurrence.
And then the capper. The people, like Amy, who keep getting kicked off WP for no apparent fucking reason.
Ya know…it’s really frustrating for those of us who want to interact with our WP friends regularly. Not to mention that it’s frustrating to the blog owners, as they feel badly, because they are struggling to reply to people who like or comment on their posts.
I can’t speak for all bloggers, but some of us truly value the interaction, and when the ability to reliably reply and interact is taken away from us, we feel badly, because we don’t want people to feel they are being ignored.
And we might even, oh, I don’t know, want to post and fucking create on a semi-regular basis? ๐
It’s goddamn pathetic, especially since a fair portion of folks are forking over their hard-earned cash to have these blogs. Customer service, my ass.
For the love of the gorilla gods, just fix the issues and stop with the random updates that don’t do shit!
