Sometimes I Wonder

No Theme Thursday entry.

Sometimes I wonder

What’s beyond that horizon?

Sometimes I wonder

Is there more out there?

Sometimes I wonder

What could I have done better?

Sometimes I wonder

Would it even matter?

Sometimes I wonder

Were we chasing an impossible dream?

Sometimes I wonder

Did she find what she was looking for?

Sometimes I wonder

Will we somehow meet again?

Sometimes I wonder

Does she sometimes wonder too?

ยฉ The Beginning At Last

In an interesting twist, it turns out that unbeknownst to either of us, both Phoebe and I used this same prompt, and both wrote very similar pieces. They fit together very well like a collaborative effort, so I am linking hers here as well. ๐Ÿ˜Š

  2. This is perfect, because I have a surprise for you. I wrote a companion piece to this, without ever knowing you were posting this. I was just saving it for later. Great minds think alike. ๐Ÿ˜Š

  7. I saw Phoebe’s poem first but became curious about what you’d written when it became apparent in the comments they were coincidently complementary.

I love the use of a repeated refrain in poetry. I really like the way you’ve used it here to lead into a different question each time. It gradually builds this train of thought until we reach the end of the poem. Really nice work.
