  5. positive & right! i’m a curious learner of martial arts, that always give lessons of force, flow, endurance, focus and structure. Its a good instrument for a lifestyle. its not the color of the belt, but the courage on the road.

  8. In some styles, I think, the instructors go back to wearing white belts. The black silk threads of mine have half worn off anyway. The more you learn, the less you realize that you know.

    1. That is very, very true. I like the concept of the instructors wearing white belts. Kind of like the boss who isn’t afraid to work on the line with his team and get a bit dirty.

        A martial artist’s opponent is themselves, whereas a fighter’s opponent is someone else. At least, that is how I see it.
