An open door in front of me
What lies ahead, a mystery
Another walk towards the unknown
Security, aside I’ve thrown
Abandoned comfort, left behind
Far too late, can’t change my mind
I raise my head and hold it high
As I turn around and say goodbye
What lies ahead, I soon shall see

These past eight months have been ones of constant flux. I have been at the top of the mountain, unceremoniously tumbled to the bottom, and resumed the upwards climb once again.
As I prepare to close one door in the next few hours, I do so with a slight sense of trepidation. But, with that also comes a great sense of accomplishment.
I have forged new bonds and learned new skills. I am proud to say that I have made a difference to those I interacted with on a daily basis. And most importantly of all, I proved to myself that I could overcome obstacles and emerge stronger and wiser for it.
We all face these moments in our lives at various times. How they define us is mostly in our hands.
You are the author. This is your story. Make it a well written one.
