Gone are the days of feeling so free
Gone are the days of humor and glee
All that’s left now is a broken down shell
Trapped in aged body, a personal Hell
Sit in the dark, remember the past
End is beginning, beginning at last
“Older and wiser” is merely a lie
Bright days are gone in the blink of an eye
I sit here and wait, almost wish for the end
Will has been broken to a point it can’t mend
And just when I think I can’t sink any lower
The reality hits that it still isn’t over
