Kingdom of Gold

So far away

A kingdom gold

I set my route

Through mountains cold

Through harshest clime

And peril deep

Within my heart

The dream I keep

One day I’ll bask

In golden hues

One day my eyes

Shall drink the views

From high upon

Gold balcony

My spirit soars

With eagles free

Through pain and hurt

Climb higher still

To conquer mountains

First conquer hills

One day the mountain

I shall crest

And if I fail

I tried my best

ยฉThe Beginning At Last

  1. We have to keep on trying, don’t we, Kevin? Good poem and image.

    1. Yes, I guess it is. The hard part is holding onto it sometimes.

      2. I’m sure. This “everyone” sometimes questions if it’s really worth it at the end of it all.
