The Choice

An undertaken journey

It’s a road you take alone

A road to places foreign

You’re so far away from home

What awaits, you often wonder

You must find it on your own

Is it paradise or evil?

Or perhaps a bit of each?

You can hear the answer calling

Lying just beyond your reach

Will you heed the call and grasp it?

Will you turn away once more?

Will you go rushing to your safety?

Will you walk through open doors?

The answer lies within you

Will you heed the calling voice?

Only you can know for certain

Only you can make the choice

      1. This is true, i thought of altering this a bit to include that in some way before I posted the comment but you said it best. You can be led astray by negative or depreciating thoughts, yes. Higher self wants the best for you, though.
        (And me, too!) lol ๐Ÿคช

      2. Unfortunately, there’s a lot of chaff amongst the wheat these days, but with experience, it (usually) gets easier to separate.
        And likewise, of course ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜‰

  5. Marvelous. I can see this really helping people in recovery groups. You might email it to a few of them and let them decide how to use it…
