Trees of orange, red and gold
The air is crisp, yet not too cold
The boats shall soon be put away
The night brings yielding of the day
The water still as dusk is near
The Autumn time is finally here
ยฉThe Beginning At Last
Some see Autumn as the death of the Summer.
I do not share this opinion.
I see the Autumn as a time of calm and regeneration. There is a soothing feeling as you hear the crunch of leaves beneath your feet, or the gentle rolling of lake water whispering subtly in your ear.
A slight breeze brings a feeling of invigoration. To feel the cool air upon your face is a gentle kiss from the Goddess. The chill upon your skin is her gift which reminds you that you are alive.
Your mug of coffee or tea is inexplicably transformed into a magical elixir of warmth and comfort. The heat caresses you from the inside out, like a candle that burns in the window to welcome you home.
This year, do not dread the coming of Autumn. Invite it into your heart as an old friend who brings you counsel.
Reflect, reaffirm, rejoice. You are alive, and the Autumn offers respite. This is your time to gather your resolve and prepare for the coming of a new year. A new year which you will attack with an unmatched vigor, living your life to the fullest, and savoring every moment.
Be well, friends.
