I Have Said It Before

Daily writing prompt
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?

I have answered this before, and my answer has not really changed. I would head for the mountains to find a great dose of peace and serenity.

I truly don’t ask for much.

I don’t need the hustle and bustle of some fancy metro city, nor do I need a tropical paradise.

Not saying these things are not enjoyable, but on the daily, a mountain retreat has an appeal that I cannot deny.

Kind of like my own Fortress of Solitude, I guess.

I also don’t need to be 1,000 miles from civilization either. Just far enough to create some distance. I don’t need to helicopter in for my groceries or anything.

Just somewhere to embrace the silence, commune with Nature a bit and live a happy life. Pure, plain and simple.

Have a great day, folks.

  1. Sounds like a great idea! I’m glad you’re happy being up in the woods. Personally I’d prefer living closer to people even though they can be very annoying at times 😂.

    1. I can visit the city, just want the option to be away from folks when I can be lol

  3. Well, I guess I won’t be posting on this prompt after all 😂 my answer is the exact same and it’ll look like it’s straight-up copied 🤣

    1. Oh, just post it. No one is going to think that. They know damned well you’re an independent thinker.
      Let it rip 😉😉

      1. Well I haven’t been on and the prompt is passed now.
Maybe I’ll save for the inevitable “greying out” of answers to prompts I’ll be receiving very soon 😆

  5. That is one wonderful picture indeed. As for me, I think I’ll go absolutely crazy without WiFi and phone connectivity (oh, and then there’s online shopping 😬). 🤷‍♀️ So hustle and bustle of the city, it is, for me. But luckily mine has enough greenery and that’s enough to stave off the blues.

That definitely sounds like paradise to me! If I didn’t have to work anymore and could just kick back and relax for however much time I have left, I’d be all in. Give me a cozy log cabin somewhere like Denver or Tennessee, with mountain views, a barn, a Keurig machine, and a TV, and I’d be set. That’s all I’d need to feel content.

  8. You even identified why they asked, lol.

Typically, introverts prefer the mountains and extroverts prefer the beaches. ….Or so the profiling theory goes.

Great answer 🙂 I was debating whether I want to answer this because it does seem like I’ve answered 1 million times before but I do love the idea of having Serenity and space. Have a great day.
