What is your all time favorite automobile?

12/26/24: Added a pic and a video. Otherwise, post is the same as last year, and it’s still my favorite car.

“I’ll be hangin’ out at the local parking lot…”

Have a great one, folks!

  3. Nice choice. One of my favorites. That, and a ’68 GTO

    1. Thanks! It was a fine car indeed. My aunt owned a 65 GTO back in the day. That car also met an untimely demise lol

  6. What a beauty, Kevin! Back in ’70, my boyfriend (now husband) had a ’57 Chevy, Electric Blue. Gorgeous car. Someone stole it right off his driveway!

    1. Thanks, Nancy! It was a fine car indeed. Not a scratch on it and power for days.
That 57 sounds like a hell of a ride. Shame that happened!

  7. โ€œPassed everything except a gas stationโ€ GREAT LINE. Interesting post. Mom had a 68 charger with a 383 (I think!) and it was fun to drive! I bet your Olds was a dream to drive!

    1. Thanks, Susan! It was a hell of a car.
There’s something about those old school muscle cars that the newer ones just can’t match.

      1. As much as I love my Toyotas, they have all been dependable cars without a lot of oomph. Maybe we will test drive a Supra now that they are back.

      2. There is definitely something to be said for dependability, for sure. There’s lots of newer cars I like, but that 50s – 80s charm is sometimes lacking.
Let me know how they are if you take one for a spin!

      3. Will do. My husband worked for Toyota for many years and he is especially intrigued by the Supra. Will definitely post the story when we test drive one.

      3. It’s probably my overall favorite of the Van Hagar era. No one expected that level of success after Dave left.

      4. He pretty much took a dive after leaving.

      5. His first couple albums did well and he was still headlining arenas, but once the 90s hit he kind of took a few odd left turns for a spell lol
Eat ‘Em And Smile is a classic, and fun fact, DLR was actually my first ever concert on that tour.
