If you’re walking through Hell

Walk through it like you own it.

I was just going to drop a couple pics and call it a day, but I decided to add a quick commentary to the proceedings.

We all have times in our life where we are walking through Hell. Sometimes it’s different levels of Hell (apologies to Dante), but it feels like Hell nonetheless.

It could be our own doing, someone/something else’s, or a combination.

The initial urge is usually a desire to give up and throw in the towel. You feel like you’ve been kicked enough times and you’re ready to stay down. Or, even if you know you must walk through this, you do it with your head down, eyes to the deck.

To this notion, I say “No.”

What’s the point? If you have to go through it anyhow, do it with your head held high and defiant. Do it secure in the knowledge that you are stronger than this thing that’s trying to keep you down. You are better than this, and you will emerge far, far better than before.

Don’t be arrogant, but be confident, put one foot in front of the other and march on through to the other side.

Walk it like you own it.

Stay strong, my friends.

      1. Thank you Kevin. When I had cancer I just did my best to survive, no matter what.

When I sat in my consultation before treatment, the doctor mentioned three possibilities of dying during the same mentioned treatment. There could also be multiple, severe complications. I thought, why don’t you throw a fourth option of dying in? I have no fear of complications. Finally I said to myself: I’m going to beat this. I’m going to live. And I did.
