Sick & Tired Sunday

And that can be taken somewhat literally today, as I am a bit of both ๐Ÿ˜„

Currently, I am fighting the nigh unwinnable battle against Mother Nature and the dreaded pollen.

It’s currently very high around here and has been for a couple weeks now. I had a bit of relief when it rained last week, but it’s now back in full force.

Hoping it passes soon, as there’s not really anywhere to hide from it at the moment.

That said, I am dosing up and will try to get some stuff done today before heading back to work tomorrow.

Along with the normal life tedious tasks, I am going to attempt to exercise a bit today. My back limits me a bit right now as far as pulling workouts, so I will instead concentrate on push workouts and building a set of ungodly triceps.

The workout gods have called upon me and I have answered with a resounding yes!

Other than that, it’s boring stuff like laundry, groceries, etc.

I hope today is treating everyone well and you are answering your own call to action.

Attack with the force of a thousand armies and the day is yours!

  1. Nigh!!!
Donโ€™t overdo it ๐Ÿ˜† especially if youโ€™re starting to feel a tad better
Also, make sure you start your ritual to the coffee gods. โ˜•๏ธ that always helps.
    Sacrificial Sunday! Ahhhh
Maybe I should come up with a better name lol

I could also call it Sciatica Sunday since my back and hip are kind of telling me to go screw, but whatever ๐Ÿคฃ

  3. I’m so glad I’m not allergic to pollen. I know a couple of friends and family who do and it’s pretty awful. Still, I suffer from allergic symptoms all year, without no real allergies. No idea what it’s called in English, though.

    1. Is it like a chronic sinusitis?
Yes, it can be brutal when the levels are too high. Not fun at all.

      1. Maybe, but yeah – my nose is always running, and I sneeze a lot. I’ve been to the doctor and taken an allergy test. It showed the lowest on the scale allergies to cats, mites and dogs. I have a hairy ragdoll and I can snuggle her up and nothing happens.

I don’t believe it, because whenever I leave my home and visit places that are free from those things, the “allergies” persist, so I believe it’s something else. That occurs even when I have freshly washed cat-hair free clothes on as well.

I’ve had this for years on and off and problem with the nose runs in the family on my mother’s side.

I just hope it will disappear forever someday. It’s really annoying.

I can even start a sneeze attack in the shower! How weird is that?

      2. Well, coming from someone who always feels like he’s fighting sinus issues, it doesn’t sound that weird lol
It does suck that you can’t find a solution though. I hope at some point you can!

      3. Me too! I’m hoping having a cleaner home and a better diet will help with that. No idea, but I’m hoping it will.

  4. As usual for me, if my eyes are goijg to play up and they did this time, the rain doesn’t give me a break from pollen.

But today, I have been out all morning to not long back in and I have had to have an extra dose of my inhaler as I felt wheezy on the way home and then coughing started a little until it got worse that it was time to take.
My nose has been itching this time for the past week or more. But currently, that is the only medication I haven’t started taking this time. But if it continues to get more troublesome, then I will have to. But pay will also be the influence whether I am getting it.

Have a good day. I plan to carry on with what I plan to do. Have fun. So I will fight the pollen. Lol

    1. Ah, that’s really lousy. Sorry, Liz! I hope it passes quickly. I know how miserable it can be. I’m lucky that the rain usually offers some comfort.

      1. Rain has never offered me relief. I can at least still have itchy eyes. And I know you shouldn’t rub. But goodness. I had to rub them.
Still, as much as it’s showing signs to be more troublesome this year. It is still not as bad as I have known it to be.

      2. Do saline drops help at all, or could they?

        Liked by 2 people

      3. I take Sodium Cromoglicate eye drops usually and they can either ease or take it take off completely, depending on how affected I am.

      4. I use the saline drops from time to time, but I often forget about them for some silly reason.

      5. I know some other drops I have in next, I mistakenly picked up for what I usually have. But I have had them before earlier in the year and should hopefully help ease with the allergies as it says on the box. Can use them how many times I want too, which was at that point I realised I got the wrong one. With the others being only so many times a day.

      6. I guess as long as they do the trick and give some relief, why not, eh?

      7. Yes. They will definitely get used and see how I go when time to start on them. ๐Ÿ™‚

  8. Pollen, the gift that never stops giving. The trees and the grass need to stop trying to procreate all the time. Itโ€™s vexing. I hope you feel better soon. My hip and my back are in sympathy with yours.
